Reviews from Satisfied readers all across the globe

This is hands-down the best book I've read in years (and I read hundreds of books a year)! The book comes with a warning, though once you begin reading it, you'll be hooked and will be tempted to read it in one sitting.

The last time I read a book falling under the category of romance / mystery was 10 years ago! This is because most of the plots in this genre have become annoyingly predicable and cliché.

But this time, I was pleasantly surprised!

A fantastic and original romance thriller with a dark side, driven by a very well developed set of characters and a unique style of story telling. I loved the author's writing style; filled with emotion and the thoughts of each character in each situation, complimented with a sharp and realistic dialogue throughout.

Never meant to be edition by Yarro Rai Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

As a romance writer, editor and junkie, I'm always excited when I come across genre stories that are truly unique and surprising. I loved the story of Johnny and Esther. Several of the scenes really caught me by surprise, and the author effectively balanced the beauty and innocence of star-crossed love, against a world of hard realities and impossible dreams. This is a new, young writer, and while the writing could be developed further in some respects, I found the story achingly poignant. Five stars from me.
When two diaries turn up in the hands of the journalist Stella and Latif, they unravel the writings between the pages, slowly realizing that they too had become part of the mysterious story.

They met as children, Esther a naive little rich girl and Johnny a broken street boy, and a friendship blossomed in the most unusual of circumstances. As adults their lives are still stark contrast to one-another and meeting up again after more than a decade, stirs up a whirlwind of emotions and memories for them both. As they ride out the storm of their love, Johnny is thrown into a reality of what he has become, how his past still haunts him and what the street life has carved of his reality in what seems like the blink of an eye. Esther is equally thrown into this storm, having just lost her parents, she is now on her own in the corporate world and a thick veil of conspiracy surrounds her, her only escape and the only person she truly trusts the troubled man that Johnny had become. Their love overpowers them both and their wish to escape their own lives creates a plethora of hardships yet they feel that together they are invincible and one day, like doves, they will fly away.

“I always wondered what lies beyond the horizon” –Johnny-

Breath taking moments where the writer cunningly leads the readers to the proverbial cliffs edge, he lets you hang just long enough before yanking you back, and you can exhale again. This is a book that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat until the very last page.
"Never meant to be" was such a good read. I really enjoyed how the story was told through the use of 2 separate diaries penned by the main characters Johnny and Esther read by a journalist Stella and her assistant. As the story unfolds you are taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This book is well-written and the story-line is very well thought out. Romance and suspense makes this a very enjoyable read and I highly recommend you give it a read.
Yarro Ra, author of the book “Never meant to be,” writes an interesting narration. The mystery keeps the reader interested as the stories unfold. Johnny and Esther are the heart and soul of the novel. There are also interesting characters that add to the mix---all well developed. The romance-mystery component of this book is the real kernel that makes this book special. Childhood friendships sometimes turn out to be romantic relationship and in this case, years separate them and then they reconnect---only to find the mystery diary getting between them. I strongly suggest this book for people that like both romance and mystery.
I have only good things to say about this book. I am a hardcore fan of romance novels but after a while they all seem the same. This new author Yarro Rai brought a whole new refreshing vibe to the genre. A third person piecing the story together by reading two separate journals. Just fascinating! I love how ive never read anything like it. I was engrossed from the beginning. Then when someone wants to pay high dollar for. These journals to be destroyed! Such mystery!! You will be hooked from the start! Must read!

“Never Meant To Be" is written in a unique narrative style which, personally, I have never encountered before the story is told through two different diaries which are being read simultaneously by a journalist. These are Johnny and Esther’s diaries, who are the protagonists of the book. Our main characters initially meet in childhood but fail to keep in contact until they reconnect, later on, during their adult years. Though they come from different backgrounds (Johnny, a street boy, and Esther, a rich girl) they find an exceptional way to build an indestructible connection between them.

... And while everything seems to unfold as a mere love / romance story, the journalist starts receiving persistent threats urging her to either get rid of the diaries or sell them! How could it be so? It all looked like just another love story. What's hidden in the diaries? What is it that the journalist is missing?

No doubt that this is one of those books that keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end! I totally recommend it.
